What an amazing time we had in France. I will be uploading photos from our tour throughout the week. It won't take all photos so expect an email from me with different albums.
Mr. Ames received his Bachelors of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music and received his Masters in Music Education from Boston University. Currently, he is the Director of Bands and Music Theory at Loyola Academy High School and a Private Clarinet Instructor in Lake County. His responsibilities include conducting the Symphonic, Concert, and Freshmen Bands, teaching Beginning and AP Music Theory, coaching Chamber Ensembles, and directing the Pit Orchestra. In 2010, Mr. Ames was selected to be the music director for the Illinois All- State Theatre production of Urinetown.
Mr. Ames has performed as a clarinetist with the Classic Legacy Band of Saginaw, Michigan (formerly the Honsinger Symphonic Wind Ensemble), the Saginaw Eddy Concert Band, the Waukegan Municipal Band, and is a current member of the Northshore Concert Band. While at VanderCook, Ames performed with the VanderCook College of Music Symphonic Band, VanderCook Wind Ensemble, New South Winds Quintet, and the Intercollegiate Small College Honors Band in New York at the Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
Mr. Ames currently resides in IL with his wife Megan and daughter Brennan.
